Charleston man accused of killing his girlfriend
WALTERBORO A Charleston man is in police custody, accused of killing his girlfriend and leaving her body beside a road in Colleton County.
Leonard Herbert Oliver III , 30, was charged with murder Saturday after sheriff's deputies in Georgia found him sleeping in his car beside Interstate 95, nine miles from the Florida border.
Oliver is accused of killing Melanie Carol Lane, 28, of Charleston, whose body was found early Saturday beside a rural road, authorities said. Deputies in Camden County, Ga., initially held Oliver on a charge of driving on a suspended license, according to Camden County …
