Court ruling puts Rose, University ventures on hold
In the wake of a Colorado Supreme Court decision declaring unconstitutional the privatization of University Hospital, plans for a joint venture between the hospital and neighboring Rose Medical Center have been put on hold.
The two hospitals last fall announced a 90-day discussion period to determine possible cooperative efforts, including a clinical cancer center, but the Dec. 24 ruling by the court and its refusal on Jan. 28 to rehear the case have delayed any decisions.
