2003 MAR 12 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Poland will soon acquire more than 1 million doses of smallpox vaccine as a part of the nation's preparations against potential terrorist threats, the prime minister said.
Leszek Miller, who, along with President Aleksander Kwasniewski, reviewed the state of Poland's preparations in case of terrorist attacks, said Poland will soon receive the first installment of about 100,000 doses and later more than 1 million doses will arrive later to supplement the medical reserves.
Kwasniewski said the vaccines were being stockpiled as a precaution, but provided no further details about the source or the timing of the deliveries.
