Mica Morales, a senior at Silverado High School, likes being in charge.

Her desire to be a leader has enabled her to move up the student council ladder, where she is serving as president of the Nevada Association of Student Councils.

The association's goal is to enable secondary students throughout the state to develop leadership roles and exchange ideas.

As president, Morales' job is to make sure everyone is staying on top of things and to answer any questions representatives might have.
