MASCARA MELTDOWN
Sick and tired of dealing with mascara marks under your eyes even when you use a smudge-proof formula? According to makeup artist B.J. Gillian, the product probably isn't the problem. If your undereye area is naturally oily or you use an eye cream that contains oil, it can dissolve your mascara when you blink, causing it to smear. To keep your mascara in place, Gillian suggests that before you apply your eye makeup, dip a large brush in loose powder and dust it over your eye area to absorb excess oil. A new smudgeproof mascara to try: Cover Girl Multiplying, $5.50. Also, you may want to try using an eye gel instead of an eye cream during the day. A good pick: Nivea Visage Soothing Eye Gel, $8.99.
