Less time in the fast lane
Regarding Rich Ceppos' Feb. 10 column (``Not So Fast!'') that asked if we condone speeding: I pondered this question on a personal level after our daughter was born. Until then I would often exceed the speed limit without giving it much thought. As part of my ``rehab,'' I taught my daughter how to interpret the speed limit signs and compare them to my speedometer.
I still enjoy speed. But I enjoy even more showing my daughter, now 15, how to master proper handling technique. I have a Saab 9-3 SE that, God willing, will become hers one day. She has completed the classroom portion of driver's education, and will receive on-road instruction this spring. A trip to the Audi Driving Experience run at Road Atlanta is in her future.
