The Annual Training Conference of the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (NCCBH) has enjoyed a long reputation as a content-rich, curriculum-driven gathering of behavioral healthcare professionals from around the country.
Conference planners say this year's conference, to be held in Denver from March 29 to April 1, is no different. "The strength of our Annual Training Conference has always rested in our solid, relevant and directly applicable curriculum," said Jeannie Campbell, NCCBH executive vice president and conference manager. "We pride ourselves on offering the kinds of practical training for tomorrow's behavioral healthcare challenges today."
Campbell added, "We succeed year after year because we do our homework. Our curriculum development staff fan out across the country, interviewing providers, leaders, managers and staff. It's time-consuming and costly, but it's the only way we know to identify the most pressing training and education needs of people working in the fast-paced and ever-changing world of behavioral healthcare."
Conference tracks and workshops
This year, conference workshops have been grouped around seven conference tracks that staff believe will uniquely address the topics that senior behavioral healthcare managers and executives need. Conference tracks this year and some of the workshops offered in each track are:
