Sunnyvale, Calif., chipmaker NuCore Technology Inc. picked up $22 million in a fourth round of venture capital to advance a new generation of image processing chips for digital cameras.
The company took advantage of a relatively novel market position to land new investor Crosslink Capital of San Francisco as lead investor in the round, while also bringing back all of its previous investors: Horizon Ventures of Los Altos, Calif., Japan's Jafco Co. Ltd., Sigma Partners of Menlo Park, Calif., Techfarm of Mountain View, Calif., and VantagePoint Venture Partners of San Bruno, Calif.
