Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Tommy G. Thompson named 11 experts on January 3 to serve on the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protection (SACHRP), which will be chaired by Ernest Prentice, associate dean for research and vice chancellor for academic affairs and regulatory compliance at the University of Nebraska Medical School in Omaha.

Other members include: Tom Adams, CEO of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals; Mark Barnes, a health care attorney and partner at Ropes & Gray in New York; Celia B. Fisher, director of the Center for Ethics Education at Fordham University in New York; E.
