Rail Castings wins Buckeye Steel.

Rail Castings Corp. has won the bidding to buy bankrupt Buckeye Steel Castings Co. for $15.2 million.

Little is known about Rail Castings, which is believed to include some of Buckeye Steel's managers. At least some of these investors are connected with Cleveland investment firm Blue Point Capital Partners, which owns part of Buckeye.

Rail Castings outbid Ohio Castings for the Columbus, Ohio-based maker of railcar undercarriages at an auction Wednesday, Feb. 12.
