A VISION OF SUPERCAR-DOM; M-B SLR gearing up for Frankfurt stage.(Mercedes sports car)
Don't look for Mercedes to premiere its $300,000 SLR at the Geneva motor show. Instead, the super sports car will debut at Frankfurt in September.
Earlier reports had production of the hand-built two-seater slated for the plant in Sindelfingen, Germany, which also crafts the 550-hp V12 Maybach, in addition to higher volume cars. However, Mercedes and TAG McLaren Group officials say McLaren will build the car at its new Woking, England-based tech center.
