Musical Youth are to reform later this year following the successful conclusion of the band's long-running dispute with Universal over royalty payments.

The four surviving members of the group--Dennis Seaton, Kelvin and Michael Grant and Junior Waite--and Jean Waite, the mother of Patrick Waite who died in 1993, have been compensated an undisclosed sum believed to be in six figures.

The group have battled for more than two years with Universal over alleged non-payment of royalties stretching back to the group's first recordings in the early Eighties.

Royalty investigator David Morgan, who has helped the group in their efforts to audit Universal and recover outstanding royalties, says they are "very happy". He adds, "They suffered. They really suffered. But they've ...
