University of New Mexico running back Quincy Wright was the go-to guy for his teammates before an injury ended his football season in September.
Now Albuquerque police contend Wright went too far, agreeing to make fake identification cards that could have allowed underage players into nightclubs during the team's trip to the Las Vegas (Nev.) Bowl last month.
Police investigating the case are recommending that Wright, 23, be charged with altering and forging a fictitious license and conspiracy to commit forgery, according to an offense report sent to the District Attorney's Office.
