2003 FEB 6 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- A former WebMD executive producer and medical editor has joined Atlanta-based NewsRx, along with three board-certified editors.

Dominique Walton Brooks, MD, with WebMD until 2001, will serve as senior medical editor at NewsRx.

The three board-certified life science editors joining NewsRx as senior medical writers are: Janet L. Tremaine, ELS, formerly with Ohio State University Hospitals in Columbus; Nancy S. Wachter, ELS, formerly senior managing editor at publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins; and Michaele Arneson, ELS, freelance science writer and editor.

The ELS certification is awarded by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS), and is an acronym for editor in the life sciences.

Also joining NewsRx as senior medical writer is Kathleen Kite-Powell, formerly with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-LaRoche.

With the New Year, NewsRx began its twentieth year as a medical news network and publisher of life science databases and periodicals.
