MDG's NetUpdater helps managers

Arlington Heights, Ill. -- Network managers weary of the endless cycle of updating users' local software may find respite with NetUpdater, HyperCard-based software available now from MDG Computer Services.
NetUpdater uses HyperCard scripts and a Startup document (INIT) to automate updates over an AppleShare-based network. Any time a user turns on a networked Mac, NetUpdater's start-up file automatically logs that Mac onto the server; records the machine's vital statistics, such as free disk space; and then executes any new update scripts on the server.
