Audi spark knock
That ignition coil failure problem initially thought to affect only Volkswagen and Audi 1.8-liter turbocharged engines in 2001 and 2002 models (AW, Nov. 25, 2002) is appearing on some 2002 3.0-liter models, though not at the same rate. Officials say parts availability is spotty in some areas, but that the coils are available. Additional supply of parts is on the way.
Pricey business
Mercedes listed prices for three new C-Class models it debuted at the Los Angeles show: the C230 Kompressor sport sedan is $27,990; the C320 sport sedan is $35,200; and the C320 sport coupe is $27,300.
