Q: Will cleaner, quieter attributes have consumers embracing diesel once again? Reader opinion is it may take more than technology.
The question is ``when'' not ``if.'' Tax credits toward purchase and/or a tax break based on diesel fuel bought may start changing minds and get cleaner diesels on roads.

The incentive is not yet here to choose diesel over gas. Honda has proven gas engines can be made efficient and ULEV compliant, and still provide power and flexibility, not to mention being quiet and smooth.
