Optronics gets order for $3.3 million in UK In what may be the largest single order ever placed for PostScript imagesetters and ancillary equipment, Associated Newspapers in the UK, publishers of the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday and the Evening Standard, has placed an order with Optronics initially worth $3.3 million.
The equipment, which has already been installed and is in production, comprises 15 Optronics ColorSetter 2000 units and one ColorGetter color scanner, plus a range of special software. Two more ColorGetter scanners are scheduled to be installed. In addition, four more ColorSetters are currently on loan and are being evaluated for purchase.
