Hologic introduces the Discovery QDR bone densitometer.(Brief Article)
2003 JAN 9 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Hologic, Inc., (HOLX) has announced the introduction of the Discovery series bone densitometers.
Discovery combines 10-second bone density measurements with 10-second assessment of vertebral fracture status, providing the most comprehensive assessment of fracture in the least amount of time.
Discovery utilizes Hologic's One Pass technology, which allows rapid, low dose, high resolution scanning. The Express BMD feature introduced on Discovery reduces the time to acquire a bone density exam by 66%, making the Discovery the fastest densitometer commercially available.
