2003 JAN 8 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Epimmune, Inc., (EPMN) announced that it has filed an investigational new drug application, or IND, with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for a multiepitope vaccine for the treatment of lung and colorectal cancer.
Pending FDA review, two separate phase I/II trials will be initiated, one trial for each cancer indication, and will involve an aggregate of approximately 25 patients who have had surgery to remove the majority of the cancer cells. These patients generally have normal immune system function.
