2003 JAN 2 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Instrumentarium Imaging will demonstrate the Diamond DX FFDM system at RSNA 2002.
The system consists of the Diamond DX digital mammography unit, including the modality workstation for the technologist, and the Diamond Diagnostic Workstation for the viewing of the images by the radiologists.
The digital mammography unit uses the Diamond platform includes features such as the ParkBack tubehead and the ECS compression. The digital detector in the Diamond DX uses the RealTime Selenium, which is second generation amorphous Selenium technology dedicated to mammography virtually eliminating ghosting and image noise.
The modality workstation of the Diamond DX seamlessly integrates the tasks in image acquisition, such as patient information retrieval from the HIS/RIS system, image assessment after acquisition, image storage, and retrieval from PACS and routing of images after the study is complete.
