Ozet

1970 sonrasinda Turk edebiyatinda kadin yazarlarin sayisinin cogalmasi dikkatlerin "kadin edebiyati" ve "kadin yazar" olgusu etrafinda toplanmasina sebep oldu. "Kadin edebiyati diye ayri bir edebiyat var midir? Kadin yazarlar daha cok nelerle ilgilenirler?" gibi sorular zihinleri mesgul etmeye basladi. Bir taraftan bu sorular etrafinda tartismalar yapilirken, diger taraftan kadin yazarlar eserlerini yayimlamaya devam ettiler. Son donem kadin yazarlarinin buyuk bir kismi "kadin edebiyati" ve "kadin yazar" kavramlarinin buyuk bir kismi "kadin edebiyati" ve "kadin yazar" kavramlariin disina cikarak genel edebiyatin kadin yazari olma tercihlerini ortaya koydular. Eserlerinde yer alan kadin yazari olma tercihlerini ortaya koydular. Eserlerinde yer alan kadin dunyasiyla ilgili unsurlarin ise hayat tecrubelerinden kaynaklandigini savundular. Bu sedeple ayri bir "kadin edebiyati" kavrami yerine "edebiyatta kadin duyarligi" soylemini uygun goruldu.

Sevinc Cokum, Turk edebiyatinin 1970'te tanistigi bir kadin yazardir. Hikayelerinde Turk sosyal yasami icerisinde kadinin durumunu belirleyen unsurlar, kadin ve toplum birlikteligi icerisinde verilir. Colisma hayati icinde kadinin durumu, evlilik iliskileri, bosanmalar, yaslilik ve zamani sorgulama Cokum'un hikayelerinde kadin dunyasiyla ilgili olarak yer almaktadir. Yazar bu konularin toplumsal sorunlarimiz oldugunu dusunur ve bu toplumsal soruna kadinin duyarlik dunyasi uzerinden cevaplar verir.

Sevinc Cokum, kadinin ozgurlugunu kazanabilmesi icin ekonomik ozgurlugunu kazanmasi gerektigini vurgular. Fakat Turk toplumunda kadinin calisma hayatina gecisi kolay olmayacaktir. Cunku gelenekten gelen yaklasimlar ve kadinin kendi dogasindan getirdikleri onun tezatlara duzmesine sebep olmaktadir.

Cokum, ailenin devamina de inanan bir yazardir. Bu sebeple hikayelerde bosanma, onerilen bir durum olmadigi icin sikca kullanilmaz. Ama siradanlasan evlilikler ve askin tukenisi, onun kafasini dolayisiyla hayal dunyasini ve kalemini mesgul eder. Kadinlarin onemli korkularindan birisi olan zamanin akisi ve yaslanma Cokum'un hikayelerinde daha cok degisen zaman ve kaybolan guzellikler olarak kendilerini bulurlar.

Yazarin bu temalar etrafinda cizdigi kadin tipleri ise geleneksel Turk sosyal hayati ve bunun icinde yasayan kadina uygun olarak itaatkar, sabirli ve isyani dusunmeyen kadinlardir.
