Aim is claiming to have saved its 700 member labels up to 14m [pounds sterling] after the final version of its own CatCo-compliant Aimlabeldata system was made available to all independent record companies last week.

Aimlabeldata, developed to save labels completing MCPS and PPL licence and product registration forms by hand, was tested by 40 indies including Beggars Banquet, Gut and Skint. However, the system, which also provides labels with their own track-level database, is now available to all 700 members.
