You can sum up the 2002 American Le Mans Series season in just four letters: A-U-D-I.
Oh sure, the Panoz team's Jan Magnussen and David Brabham won the Sears Point round in May and the Washington, D.C. round in July, but let's not kid ourselves-it was an Audi show otherwise.
The season began at Sebring in March with an Audi 1-2, but when Magnussen and Brabham won the next race, in May, we thought we might have a more competitive season. But then Audis took the next two rounds, squeezing in a Le Mans 1-2-3 sweep along the way.
