Malacanang to replace Napocor, Transco chiefs?

Malacanang the other night reportedly approved the appointment of new top executives for state-run National Power Corp. (Napocor) and National Transmission Corp. (Transco).

A government source, in a telephone interview yesterday, said Malacanang has approved the appointment of Allan Ortiz as Napocor president, and Roger Murga as Transco president.

Mr. Ortiz is consultant for Senator John Osmena, while Mr. Murga was former president of EEI Corp.

Department of Energy (DoE) officials declined to comment on the appointment of replacements for Napocor acting president …
