SYED Ahmad Syed Salim wears three hats and faces many challenges. As CEO of Malaysia Airports (Niaga) Sdn Bhd or Eraman, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, which operates duty-free and non-duty- free outlets and manages food and beverage outlets at KLIA, he also heads the KL International Airport (KLIA) shopping steering committee and new retail development at KLIA.
Formerly the chief operating officer of Golden Boutique, the inflight sales and retail division of Malaysia Airlines, he admits taking on a bigger portfolio than his previous job. `Though Eraman is a medium-sized operation, our turnover is much bigger than Golden Boutique,' he adds, referring to the company's annual revenue which exceeds more than RM100 million. `My aim is to ensure that KLIA gets on the …
