Sudesh K Verma in New Delhi Dec. 15. - A Hindutva rerun? Post-Gujarat elections, Sangh Parivar leaders are privately saying that anti-terrorism and "nationalism" as codes for Hindutva are an electoral formula for the BJP that should be actively pursued. Some like Mr Pravin Togadia have said that India will be a "Hindu Rashtra" in two years' time.

Not all leaders in the central leadership of the BJP agree. Perhaps for good reasons. Ten years back to this month - December 1992 - the BJP had been riding a Hindutva wave that culminated in the Babari Masjid demolition.
