In early November, London residents who use the city's mass-transit system were greeted with posters depicting a double-decker bus beneath four floating eyes. "Secure beneath the watchful eyes," read the poster's caption. "CCTV and Metropolitan Police on buses are just two of the ways we're making your journey more secure." CCTV is a system of 1.5 million police cameras deployed in London's streets, buildings, and mass transit systems.
