Slovak GDP growth accelerates to 4.3 pct in third quarter.

BRATISLAVA, Dec 12 (CTK) - Slovakia's gross domestic product (GDP) grew in the third quarter by 4.3 pct in constant prices, compared to a 4-pct growth in the second quarter, and in absolute terms the GDP totalled Sk277.65bn, up 8.2 pct year-on-year in current prices, the Slovak Statistical Office said today.

In the third quarter of 2001, Slovak GDP grew by 3.5 pct. Analysts have predicted a growth of 4.1 pct on average for Q3 2002.

In Jan-Sept, GDP grew by 4.1 pct in real terms, or one percentage point faster than in Jan-Sept last year. In current prices, GDP reached Sk795.2bn in Jan-Sept and grew …
