Lexus' all-new, midsize sport/ute looks quite good, with utility to match. Unlike the smaller RX 300, the GX 470 has mucho towing capacity, matching that of the company's larger LX 470, without the bulk. Adjustable rear ride height, variable damping and self-leveling suspension make the GX feel equally at home on- or off-road. We don't expect to see many of these next time out on the trails, though: With an abundance of leather, a navigation computer and DVD system, the GX 470 screams ``family vacation.'' Which is fine with us. As one tester said, ``The state of the truck industry is very good when you can outfit a midsize truck with three rows of seats for under $55,000.''
