Librarians and information professionals gathered in June in Atlanta, Georgia, for the American Library Association's 2002 Annual Conference. Although I work in a special library setting, I found the ALA programs insightful and interesting.

Most of the sessions that I attended focused on the reference function or technological topics. My conference notes included these highlights:
