-- Dear Bill: Wasn't the election wonderful? I confess I was a little surprised, didn't think we'd do quite that well.

In the Deeper Meanings department, I sense that a lot of people are finally realizing that Democrats are simply repulsive. If you change the party names to Normal and Abnormal, the voting pattern we saw becomes clear.

I've decided to move back to Seattle sometime next year. I lived there from '72 to '82 and wish I had never left. I'm a big-city girl, and now that I no longer drive I need the convenience of buses, monorails, and ferry boats, and supermarkets down the street instead of shopping centers out on the highway.

Don't worry that the liberal ambience will get to me. Remember, you and the NR staff live in New York.

Love,

Florence [King]
