The problems facing CART CEO Chris Pook are well documented, but as one might guess, there are others in the organization whose plates are also full. One is Lee Dykstra, the veteran race car designer and race engineer, who took on the job of director of competition and technology in January. He is responsible for CART's hardware rules and the enforcement of them, and for the development of future packages as well. In these departments, there have been more troubles than fans might have realized.
