Prevalence: Almost all women have had a tension headache. This is the most common throbber, the one you get after a tough day at work.
Your prevention plan: Suss out the source of your stress, says Seymour Diamond, M.D., founder and director of the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago. For example, are you feeling overwhelmed at work or worried about credit-card debt?
