* For those of you who know James Van Der Beek only as the sweet and humble Dawson Leery from The WB's Dawson's Creek, fasten your seat belts. He's about to overhaul your image of him with his new role in The Rules of Attraction, a tragic, yet comic look at a group of overprivileged college students. "It's a brutally honest film about sex and drugs and whacked-out decisions," says James. "It almost needs to come with a wanting label." James plays a drug-dealing student who steams up the screen in some intense sex scenes with 7th Heaven's Jessica Biel and Blue Crush's Kate Bosworth. But offscreen, he's a one-woman man, engaged to actress Heather McComb. Here, he talks about getting it on on screen, his upcoming marriage, and what women need to know.
