The Sunday Times is launching Travel, a glossy newsstand title, in a bid to capitalise on a perceived gap in the market between exclusive destinations titles and the traditional generic guidebooks.
The magazine will be aimed at ABC1 consumers planning holidays and short breaks, and is an extension of The Sunday Times' weekly Travel section.
It will carry 180 pages with a retail price of pounds 2.95 and will be published six times a year.
The magazine, published by River Publishing, is set to go on sale nationwide in January, and News International will be aiming to establish a circulation of 100,000 for the title.
