2002 NOV 7 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Barr Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:BRL) announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its application to manufacture and market a generic version of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc.'s, Ortho-Cyclen tablets oral contraceptive 28-day regimen.
The company plans to market the product as a generic under the trademark name Sprintec. It will launch Sprintec immediately.
