Dr. Sidney Pestka joins ADVR scientific advisory board.(Advanced Viral Research Corp.)(Brief Article)
2002 NOV 7 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Advanced Viral Research Corp. (ADVR) announced that Dr. Sidney Pestka has joined the company's scientific advisory board.
Pestka, a recipient of the National Medal of Technology, brings decades of creative, pioneering scientific achievements, especially in the fields of immunology and interferon research, to the company.
Pestka is currently professor and chairman of the department of molecular genetics, microbiology and immunology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; and is chairman and chief scientific officer of PBL Biomedical Laboratories, Piscataway, New Jersey. Previously he was at the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology.
