Anderson Advertising loses NBC account

The moment NCNB Texas National Bank took control of nine National Bancshares Corp. banks in South Texas, San Antonio advertising agency Anderson Advertising Inc. lost a $3 million account.

"We anticipated all along that we would lose the NBC account, and our relationship with NBC ended instantly when NCNB took over," said Anderson Advertising President Chuck Anderson. "Our contract was with NBC, not NCNB."

Indeed, Anderson Advertising had known since April 26, when the vote to recapitalize NBC failed and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. decided to put the bank up for sale, that its days with NBC were numbered, …
