Increase of Traffic at Airports
Passenger traffic at Los Angeles International Airport increased 4.2 percent during the first three months of 1990, compared to the same period one year ago, according to statistics compiled by the Los Angeles Department of Airports.
Volume for January through March 1990 included 8,228,769 domestic passengers, up 3.9 percent, and 2,062,761 international travelers, up 5.3 percent, it was announced by Clifton A. Moore, the department's executive director.
Air carrier operations (takeoffs/landings) totaled 161,361, a 5.1 percent increase, and air cargo (freight/mail) volume was posted at 306,208 tons, up 3.9 …
