TV stations file $20.6 million lawsuit over '87 plane crash

Frustrated by the long wait for government action, two Dallas television stations have joined forces with their insurance company to sue the Navy over a plane crash three years ago which wiped out a local broadcast tower.

KDFW-TV (Channel 4), WFAA-TV (Channel 8), Hill Tower Inc., and The Travelers Cos. filed suit in U.S. District Court recently seeking $20.6 million from the U.S. Department of the Navy.
