   "I want to learn!" to her I cried, 
   But the words are a storm from which I hide. 
   I try so hard to get words right, 
   But every line, it is a fight. 
   I see the word that's in my head, 
   And hear you say it when it's read. 
   But when I go to write the word, 
   It's not what I saw, or what I heard. 
   I am trying, can't you see? 
   School is so complex for me. 
   I sound out the words I try to spell, 
   But it doesn't always work so well. 
   I hear the start and the end, 
   I just can't make the middle blend. 
   I try to hear every letter, 
   I'd like to spell and to read better. 
   I will try hard, I really care,
