Debuting 34 years to the day after the original XJ6 of 1968, this seventh-generation Jaguar flagship sedan is a futuristic reach in every respect except the traditional styling. Constructed of aluminum and shown in polished bare-metal form (including plastic bumpers coated in metal for the show car), it weighs 450 pounds less than its predecessor. Jaguar's heritage includes plenty of aluminum, but this car goes beyond previous alloy-bodied cars by using aircraft-style riveted and bonded construction, no welding.
