Readers select their favorite auto shows, citing cars and culture as the driving force behind their choices.

Tokyo every time, especially if it's on someone else's dime. I could not pass up charging $50 margaritas to the boss or possibly several nights in a bathhouse. Paris itself would lure you away from the show. Detroit? Well, I lived there. I see some of those cars every day on our streets. The dreamers never win in Detroit; they don't last long, anyway. Tokyo is the place: the best show by far, not to mention the nicest people. Yup, $50 margaritas.
