Hannah-Barbera Productions is a television production company that has produced the world famous Scooby-Doo cartoons since around 1969. It owns three UK trademarks for the Scooby-Doo character.

Respondent registered the scoobydoo.co.uk domain name in August 1999. From this domain name he operated a fan Web site. At some point, respondent was an Amazon affiliate and sold Scooby-Doo books from the site. However he terminated this service when this dispute arose. Respondent also provides email services with the scoobydoo URL to fans through this site at no cost.
