Coldwell Banker retrenches, maintains market dominance

The $12.5 million sale of Amtec Center, a five-building complex on 21 acres in Boca Raton's Arvida Park of Commerce, is more than just another deal to the national brokerage firm of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services.

The just-completed acquisition of the property by an unidentified Scandinavian buyer from Cincinnati-based American Tectonics is a spigot of hope in an oasis of gloom for Coldwell Banker.

Coldwell Banker continues to maintain its dominance among brokerages in South Florida, even though its numbers -- like many of its competitors -- have dropped in a real estate market as soft as a bed of feathers. …
