A school official says Gary DeFrancesco is welcome to reapply for a contract.
A controversial fund-raiser who helped bring in $11.2 million and as a result secured $5,000 bonuses for school executives is out of a job with Albuquerque Public Schools.
Gary DeFrancesco is welcome to seek another contract with the district, said Tom Garrity, APS chief advancement officer.
"I do hope he will apply," said Garrity, who decided to end the school district contract with DeFrancesco's company, Funding Connection Inc., effective Sept. 30.
