Lexington expansion crippled by legal battle

Along State Highway 114, in the Walnut Hill Business Park in Las Colinas, sits a piece of land for Lexington Hotel Suite where nary a spade of dirt has been turned, and likely won't be for some time.

The empty land is not part of the past economics woes of many hotel companies, but rather a small part of what has become a bitter fight between Irving-based Lexington Management Corp. and its Japanese business partner, Ginza Golf Service Co. Ltd, a privately held Tokyo-based company.

Ginza and and it subsidiary, GGS (HI) Inc. of Hawaii, are suing Lexington and its affiliates, ZRM Financial Corp. and ZRM Management Inc., in what has been termed a "business divorce." But if GGS is suing for divorce, …
