Johnson switches firms

Former U.S. Attorney J. Alan Johnson has left Reed Smith Shaw & McClay for Swensen Perer & Johnson, a small litigation firm in the city.

Johnson, 45, of Ross Township, a career prosecutor who joined the largest of Pittsburgh's law firms in January of 1989, made the move in order to begin a criminal defense section at the Swensen Perer & Johnson.

Swensen Perer & Johnson, formerly Swensen & Perer, was established in 1980 and has offices in Two Oliver Plaza. The 10-lawyer firm specializes in personal and business litigation.
