Northwest Baltimore County

Once a densely forested hinterland populated by wild animals and riotous Indians, the northwest corridor of Baltimore County has witnessed significant economic growth, far greater than any early settler could ever have envisioned.

Today, this dynamic region -- with its sleek office towers, alluring shopping mall, and pleasant communities -- features the fastes growing town center in the metropolitan area, as well as vast acres of fertile farmland slated for preservation. Amid an emerging, modern skyline, well established local businesses co-exist with regional and nationally renowed corporations. It is a corridor served by both a state-of-the-art metro system and winding country roads.

Recognizing the key role that this region plays in our overall economy, Baltimore County has committed its energies and resources to ensuring the continued vitality and diversity of the northwest area. The goal of this administration has been, quite simply, to create an environment in which commercial activity can flourish, while at the same time maintaining the superior quality of life which our residents have come to enjoy and expect.
